The token is stored server-side and is never returned to the browser after saving.
How to generate the GitHub token
- Open GitHub Settings, Developer settings, Personal access tokens, Fine-grained tokens.
- Create a token limited to CallTower-Microsoft-Support/Mainline_IVR.
- Grant repository permissions for Issues: Read and write. Grant Contents: Read and write only if attachment uploads are enabled later.
- Set an expiration, generate the token, and paste it below. The token is sent over HTTPS and stored only by the API.
Never place the token in source control, a browser URL, or a client-side configuration file.
